19 Of The Best YouTubers You Should Be Watching Right Now
Reilly Nesbitt

I check my phone and realize it’s already 12:30 in the morning and I’ve been staring at my computer screen for hours watching YouTube. This is something that happens all too often.

I have been watching videos on YouTube since I was probably 12 years old. Sometimes it’s nice to sit down and watch a short YouTube video instead of starting a 45 minute Netflix episode.

Here are 19 of my favorite YouTubers that you can check out next time you’re bored and want something entertaining to watch.

1. Tati Westbrook (glamlifeguru)

Tati is easily my favorite YouTuber. She is a makeup artist and stylist who has earned over 4.1 million subscribers. She posts beauty hauls, tips, tutorials, and reviews to her channel. She posts reliable and entertaining videos to her channel regularly and really knows what she’s doing when it comes to makeup.

2. Cody Ko

Cody Ko is a previous Vine sensation who posts some of the funniest comedy videos on YouTube. He has multiple channels but his vlog channel is my favorite.

3. David Dobrik (and the rest of the vlog squad)

Also a previous Vine sensation, David posts vlogs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. He’s always making his friends (the vlog squad) do hilarious (and also stupid) things for views. All of his videos are guaranteed to make you laugh and keep you entertained. Some of his other friends I love watching are Toddy Smith, Corinna Kopf, and Jason Nash.

4. Tana Mongeau

Tana is one of the most popular content creators on YouTube right now. She is known for her story times where she talks about strange instances from her personal life as well as her own quirks with her subscribers.

5. Jeffree Star

Jeffree Star is a singer-songwriter, make-up artist and fashion designer from California. His YouTube account features beauty looks and tutorials and even has his own makeup line, Jeffree Star Cosmetics.

6. Shani Grimmond

Shani is an Australian beauty guru who posts her beauty knowledge to her channel. She is so gorgeous and creates some of my favorite beauty looks, plus she’s hilarious and all of her videos are so entertaining.

7. Okbaby

Run by Kyra Sivertson and Oscar Morales, Okbaby is a family vlogging channel. Kyra and Oscar were teen parents who have documented their journey raising their two children every day since Kyra became pregnant.

8. Mia Maples

Mia has become more well-known on YouTube in the last few months because of her reviews of Chinese fashion websites. She consistently orders things from websites like SheIn, Cupshe, and Zaful and then posts try-on reviews of the products she buys.

9. Gigi Gorgeous

Gigi is a Canadian Youtuber, tv personality, actress, and glamour model. She started her channel in 2008 where she documented her journey of being a transgender female. She also posts makeup tutorials, travel, and other lifestyle videos.

10. Kelsey Simone

Kelsey is also a makeup and fashion guru on YouTube. She posts videos about skincare, trends, and also lifestyle videos.

11. Alyx Weiss (ayydubs)

Alyx posts comedic and lifestyle videos on her channel. She became well known on YouTube for her Tinder series where she filmed herself on various Tinder dates. Her hidden camera Uber pranks are also super hilarious.

12. Laura Lee

Laura is a beauty vlogger who posts hauls, makeup tutorials, and lookbooks to her channel. She is so authentic, funny, entertaining, and has a positive attitude that’s so contagious.

13. Emma Chamberlain

Emma is a lifestyle vlogger who posts lookbooks, DIYs, hauls (her thrifting hauls are my favorite) and vlogs. I love her honest personality and the way she carries herself!

14. Drew Monson (mytoecold)

Drew makes me laugh so hard I cry. He is most well known for his comedy skits and vlogs, but his dollar store hauls are my favorite. He hasn’t posted videos as much as other YouTubers do, but he makes such a big impression whenever he is around that it’s hard to forget them.

15. Aspyn Ovard

Aspyn’s life is a dream. She creates videos documenting her journeys all over the world, has a beautiful relationship with her husband, and even has her own clothing line.

16. Casey Neistat

Casey is one of the most impressive filmmakers on YouTube. His videos (especially his vlogs) are so well thought out and he works extremely hard to put out great content. He also uses his platform to spread awareness about serious issues.

17. Trevor Moran

I first found Trevor Moran years ago on YouTube when he would post videos of himself dancing in the Apple store. He never fails to make me laugh and his confidence is contagious. I love his videos with Tana Mongeau!

18. Lauren Elizabeth

Lauren is so down to earth and uses her YouTube channel to open up to her subscribers about serious issues in her life. She strives to inspire her viewers to be strong, while also making her videos entertaining and fun to watch. Plus, her style is amazing!

29. Meghan Rienks

Meghan is another strong and independent YouTuber personality. She creates videos about beauty, fashion, and lifestyle tips.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
