If you went to West Career and Technical Academy, you know that this school was nothing short of interesting. You either loved it or you hated it, but you will always be a Wrangler. Here are 18 ways you know you went to West Tech:

1. Teachers rode around the halls on scooters

This was probably the greatest thing about West. From Razor scooters to motorized scooters, it was a new way to cruise the halls.

2. Mr. Marlowe was every girl’s favorite teacher, even if you didn’t have him!

He was the perfect combination of Tom Cruise and Zac Efron.

3. Accelerated math ruined our lives

4. Mr. Bay was the best principal ever

5. The only school where kids actually went to the dances

Unlike other schools, we didn't have to cancel our dances. We had more than half of the student body attend the homecoming dance in 2012!

6. We had a cheer team for zero sports teams

-"Let's go Wranglers, let's go! Wait, what are we cheering for?"

7. PBL days were pretty much a free for all

3 days full of nonsense and zero schoolwork.

8. If you were in STUCO, you got a ticket to get out of class on the daily

Student council was a great excuse to get out of a class you hated and go “make a poster.”

9. Only West would hold a Guitar Hero contest during lunch

10. Our school looked like a college campus

11. WTOD: 'nough said

“West Tech or Die”

12. “I go to West.” “Oh Western?”

We've all been asked this more than often.

13. Only Mr. Joe could pull off the flip-up sunglasses

14. Google docs was not just a way to do assignments, it was a way of life

We lived and breathed Google Docs

15. Yes, the class of 2014 had 19 valedictorians

That was a really long graduation.

16. The teachers had more drama than the students

Their drama made its way around the student body and was nothing less of entertaining.

17. Taco Tuesday was the best day of the week

Even though the tacos were questionable at times, it was better than the cold pizza they served every other day.

18. Mr. Mac was the best counselor ever

He could literally get you into any class you wanted.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
