18 Thoughts We Have At The Gym
spoonuniversity.com

I have a love/hate relationship with working out. I love the way I look and feel after a good workout but I hate going to the gym. All my friends can attest that I’m apart of #couchsquad and whenever I come back from the gym it’s met with a chorus of “Wait, you didn’t really go to the gym, did you?” Even though I love the results of the gym, I can never bring myself to make time and go. As I start my new health journey to hopefully one day become #fitnessgoals, I’ve been actively going to the gym and trying to eat healthier. Here are some thoughts that run through my (and probably yours too, tbh) head as I work out:

1. OK, we’re doing this. Here we go.

2. Why does everyone here look so ripped?

3. Am I that weak?

4. I do look like a string bean come to think of it…

5. The only stairs machine that’s open is between two people who look like they know what they’re doing please kill me now.

6. *10 minutes into the stairs machine* if I step off this my legs will turn to jelly and I will fall down and die.

7. Stairs are a no go. Let’s try this weird arm thing.

8. Wow, this isn’t bad at all.

9. Ripped guy lifting weights is laughing.

10. I now realize that is because I didn’t set this thing to any weights.

11. I am a gym failure.

12. To the track it is.

13. HOW DO PEOPLE RUN SO FAR FOR SO LONG?

14. DO YOU HAVE LUNGS OF STEEL?

15. Maybe the fitness life isn’t for me.

16. If I get through one more lap I’m gonna #treatyoself to some pizza.

17. Welp, that marks my fitness for the week.

18. Time for food.

Don’t get me wrong; the gym is a great place. There are so many options for people in various stages of their fitness journeys, and the gym is just a great place to relax and get your mind off the stress that is school. Staying active and staying fit is an important part of anyone’s life, and college is so great because it offers so many different opportunities to stay in shape (even though the dining hall food can sneak up on you). With a free gym membership to your university's gym that includes different fitness classes, you can’t go wrong.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

school

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
