18 Thoughts Of What It's Like Growing Up With Siblings

For those of you who have grown up with a sister or brother, you will know the joys and laughter they bring into your life. But they can also bring anger and frustration. Growing up with siblings is a blessing and a curse. For those of you who do not get the pleasure of having a sibling, I'm sorry. Yet I envy you some days. I know all my fellow brothers and sisters can relate to growing up with an older brother or sister, maybe a younger brother or sister. These next few thoughts will make you think how special it really is having a sibling to grow up with:

1. Everyone says "you both look alike," but you don't see it.

Wait, what are you seeing that we aren't?

2. When your parents call you by the wrong name and they still expect you to answer.

My name is definitely Lexi...

3. "I'm gonna tell Mom what you did."

I can't suffer Mom's wrath!

4. When your brother or sister won't stop pestering you with your parents in the room.

"I will cut you!"

5. When you look at your sister and she's wearing something that is yours.

I thought that shirt looked familiar...

6. "You're adopted."

Don't even pretend to lie that you never were told this by your older sister or brother.

7. Hiding the TV remote so your sibling can't change the channel.

You'll do anything in your power to not let your sibling get their hands on that remote.

8. "Shotgun!"

The struggle was always real trying to fight to sit in the front seat.

9. When your sibling eats the food you've been saving.

"I've been thinking about that pasta all day long!"

10. Only child: "I wish I had siblings."

"Excuse me? Did you really just say that?"

11. There's always an argument over who cleans the most and who's the laziest.

"A clean house is a happy house."

12. When you have to wash the dishes and your sister comes to put more plates in the sink even though you're almost done.

Really? Another one?

13. "You two have to share."

"But I don't want to, Mom!"

14. "Get out of my room."

"Oh, OK. I'll just leave then, and never return."

15. When someone picks on your younger sibling and you go into attack mode because only you can pick on them.

"Back off, punk. I will cut you. Only I can talk to my little sister like that."

16. The look you give each other when you find something funny or when you haven't seen one another in a few days, weeks or months.

17. Getting into fights and making up like...

There is no truer sibling love than yelling in one another's faces and then proclaiming how much you love them after.

18. You love your sibling no matter what.

Aren't siblings the best? I know I couldn't live without my sisters by my side!

One of the most dreaded places on campus is the library. Nothing awesome ever happens here. Usually, the only reason you're here is because you've procrastinated so long that the library is the only place you'll actually get stuff done. It gives you this feeling of sadness and impending doom. You have no idea how this is going to go or how long you'll be here, but you do know it is about to be the most excruciating experiences yet. But it has to get done, so you drag yourself to the lovely library.

It is that time of year again. Christmastime. It is one of my favorite seasons for a myriad of reasons. Here are just a few reasons why I love Christmas. This list is in no order of importance.

1. The Christmas decorations

I am that person who will decorate directly after Thanksgiving is over. This year, my roommates and I put the tree up in our apartment before we even left for Thanksgiving break. It is a great stress reliever for me to just sit in my living room and work on the huge amount of work I have before the semester is over.
