18 Stages of Finals Week As Told By 'The Office'

Nothing terrifies a college student more than just two words: finals week. They are on the horizon, which means cramming, late nights, and a lot of emotions. The office workers at the paper company Dunder Mifflin understand the struggles better than anyone else. These are the 18 stages of Finals Week as told by The Office

1. The realization that finals week is quickly approaching.

You feel a little anxious, but you know you can probably just study a little here and there. You'll come out fine.

2. Preparing yourself to start studying...

But instead you watch Netflix, because you convince yourself that you have plenty of time to study.

3. And a nap is definitely what you need.

You deserve this! You've worked so hard this semester, and a nap will only help your productivity, right?

4. It's almost here, and you don't know anything.

Why did I skip all those lectures? Why did I just doodle and not take notes?

5. Research on alternative career paths begins.

I don't need a degree for that...or I could live in the wilderness.

6. Mustering any ounce of motivation.

If you just crack down and start studying, you'll be fine.

7. Reason with yourself. Bargaining any type of deal that looks even a little motivational.

"Okay, if I finish this page I can watch a cute video of dogs."

8. Study time!

Finally, after all this, a book is open and so is your mind.

9. An unhealthy addiction to coffee and 5 hour energy is quickly developed.

Or pretty much anything else to keep you awake. What is sleep?

10. Complete panic.

"This wasn't covered in class? How do they expect us to know this? I'm going to have to teach myself."

11. Crying ensues.

Who told you college would be fun?

12. Almost anything can distract you.

Social media, your pencil, staring out the window...

13. You finally snap out of it and get back to work.

"Come on! I can do this. I need an A!"

14. Reality sets in.

"Alright, maybe a B?"

15. You finally get into a groove the day before the final.

You cram like no one else has crammed before.

16. Failure is accepted.

Might as well live it up, because you're going to fail.

16. It's the day of the test.

You actually know way more than you thought you did...that's weird.

17. Walk out of there feeling some type of way.

Whether it's relief, disappointment, or anxiety, it's all over.

18. You promise to never procrastinate again...

Until next semester.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
