It’s obvious that everyone changes when they go to college. You have new friends, a new environment, new classes and a new home. Meredith College is a great place to grow, explore and change. I have spent two years here in Wonderland, and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. I have seen the amazing things girls can do here and what I can do myself. It’s funny to see how everyone changes and how living here for two years might just be long enough to conform to the new environment around you. Here are a few signs you have been at Meredith too long and conformed to the social norms we have here at Wonderland.

1. You wear your pajamas to the dining hall, class and probably the store a few times.

2. You put makeup on once a week, and when your friends from other schools see you during the week they barely recognize you.

3. You are perfectly content staying in and watching Netflix with your friends.

4. You never want to leave your roommate. They have become your best friend and your roommate for life!

5. You wear a tutu and crown any chance you get -- Cornhuskin', Stunt, Miss America pageant, Halloween, Christmas and anywhere else socially acceptable.

6. You have been asked at least five times, “Are you scared of becoming a lesbian?”

7. You have a pair (or pairs) of Sheila Hoops.

8. You have a countdown until Corn every year, and it starts the minute breakfast after Cornhuskin' ends.

9. You do your Corn dances even when Cornhuskin’ is long gone because it's fun and a great skill to have when that certain song starts playing where you can bust a move anywhere.

10. You wear Uggs from October until March and probably during the other months too.

11. You have bought enough leggings to last you a week or two without doing laundry -- plain, patterns, colors, you have them all!

12. You feel like this while eating a good meal after living off of BDH for a few weeks.

13. You know every student and professor in your major, minor, hall and dorm. You probably also follow the whole Meredith population on every form of social media.

14. You babysit or nanny.

15. You go to DH Hill to study because the library at Meredith is too crowded and you need a good spot to hide from other people in your class.

16. You currently have, or have had, a countdown until your onyx! (One-and-a-half more semesters 2018! We can do this!)

17. You have attended a dance party in the dining hall, and you have wobbled more times than you can count.

18. You can’t imagine going to school anywhere else.

Meredith might not be for everyone, but it certainly is a great place for you to spend four years. I don't want to leave, but it makes me happy to know that I will adjust to the Meredith norms and will graduate a true MCG.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
