New Jersey is one of a kind. Despite all the highly inaccurate insults we get, we actually aren't all that bad. However, New Jerseyans are a breed of their own and here's how you can tell that you were born and raised in the Garden State.

1. You don't actually say "Joisey" like the rest of the country expects of you.

2. There is an unspoken rivalry between North and South Jersey and they are two entirely different places.

3. Wawa's are hard to come by but this one is the best.

4. You had to take the NJASK for reasons you still to this day aren't aware of.

5. MetLife, home to the Giants and Jets, is not actually in New York.

6. You go to concerts in MetLife and they say "Thank you, New York!" and you begin to fume on the inside.

7. You can use a number between 0 and 172 to specify where you live.

8. New York is your city.

9. The pork roll and Taylor ham argument is serious and it's real.

10. You aren't 100% comfortable making a left turn without having to go right first.

11. You're an overly aggressive driver but convinced you are better than everyone on the road.

12. You can identify someone's personality based off of the beach they choose to go to.

13. You are genuinely surprised by how people outside of NJ are significantly nicer.

14. You aren't clear on what this was supposed to be, all you know is that it's hideous.

15. You know first-hand that life is better with gas attendants.

16. You know there is no perfectly paved road.

17. The shore does not look like what they show on "Jersey Shore."

18. You wouldn't want to have your roots anywhere else.
