18 Signs You Are Addicted To Crafting
Total Sorority Move

Do you spend your day thinking about all the crafts you could be doing? Or skip responsibilities to craft? Well, you might just be a craftaholic.

1. You have a whole area or whole room dedicated to just storing all your craft supplies. Including but not limited to: paints, paint markers, fabric, yarn, string lights, brushes, mod podge, exacto knifes, construction paper, stickers, gems, glue guns, ribbon, blank canvases, and anything else your heart can come up with.

2. You have multiple boards on Pinterest dedicated to crafting. One for canvases, one for home decor crafts, one for realistic crafts, as well as one for unrealistic crafts. You might even have one dedicated paint chip crafts and one to help expand your mug collection.

3. Going to the craft store is a thrilling to you. Whether it be Pat Catans, Michaels, Jo Anns or whatever store you have near you. Walking into one of these stores is magical; you can walk around for hours just imagining all the amazing things you can craft.

4. You have applied to work at said craft store simply for the store discount

5. Your family doesn’t even bother telling you what they want for Christmas/ Birthdays because they already know they will be receiving some type of craft from you.

6. A craft you have done has involved using a hammer, nails, saw, etc. Or has involved bribing the man in your life to do those things for you.

7. You have crafted something unconventional. Maybe you have crafted a cooler or a beer pong table. Bonus points if it has to do with a sorority or fraternity.

8. You are in a sorority. We sorority girls will craft anything and everything from wooden letters to making our own fake fireplace. We craft for our littles, our bigs, our president, our advisors, our formal dates, basically, everyone deserves a craft.

9. Glitter is permanently glued on your hands. But truth be told, you don’t really mind it.

10. Craft Shows and Antique malls are dangerous to you. You walk in and instantly think you need to make your own DIY egg carton flowers.

11. You can knit, crochet just about anything. Meaning your friends are constantly begging you to make them infinity scarves.

12. Most of the items in your house are DIY and crafts, making everything you own one of a kind down to the soap in your bathroom.

13. When out shopping you can’t help but buy more paints, glues, mason jars, canvas because you just never know when the inspiration to craft will come and you need those 36 shades of blue.

14. You have attempted a craft and failed miserably. But, kept doing it over and over again until it was just right. No matter how many times you had to run to the store to get more supplies.

15. You won’t buy anything that you know you can craft. Even though in the end it’s normally less expensive to buy said item.

16. You have or want to go to one of those "Wine and Painting" nights.

17. Days off are spent pinning crafts, shopping for crafts, and/or making crafts.

18. Reading this article has made you think of all the DIY’s and crafts just waiting to be made by you.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

Great Value Colleges

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.

The winters at Kent are brutal, and while the heated sidewalks and some great snow boots are always a help, there’s no chance you won’t bust it on the ice at least once in your four plus years at school.
