We often get so caught up in our calendars, schedules, and lists. Checking off one thing can feel like such an accomplishment, and it should! We work very hard, just remember to pay attention to the little things, because they really are what get you through to that next day!

1. You are beautiful!

Everyone is totally unique! No one has your combination of stunning eyes, that killer smile, and supreme fashion. OWN IT.

2. You are exactly where you need to be.

3. Stress is only temporary.

Ask yourself if this will matter in five years. If not, let it roll off your back.

4. Everyone has "those days."

BUT, we've made it through more difficult ones, right?

5. No one deserves better than you!

You are the most important you. Treat yourself like it.

6. Everything takes time, don't rush.

Trust things to work themselves out. You do not always need to be in control.

7. The best things happen when you least expect it.

My mom always tells me this and it is strangely true! Our best gifts are delivered via surprise and at the most unlikely times possible.

8. Pay yourself first.

It is so important to give yourself rewards after completing goals. Whether you finished a paper, won a game, or received your paycheck make sure you congratulate yourself on the hard work you put in!

9. Eat Breakfast!

What were you thinking by skipping the most important meal of the day? Eating in the morning not only revs up your metabolism, but gives your brain the kickstart it needs to carry your smart cookie self throughout the day.

10. Carpe Diem!

If not now, then when?? Stop procrastinating! Today is all for you! Show the day who's boss.

11. You are your own friend.

I keep reminding myself that I am my own friend too! If I wouldn't be this hard on my friend, why is it acceptable to do it to myself?

12. Indulge.

Spend a few more minutes in bed, add another scoop to your ice cream cone, watch another episode on Netflix. Whatever it is, don't say "no" to yourself for once.

13. Spend some time outside.

Being in touch with nature creates a more peaceful vibe and allows us to be more mindful. Whether you get outside to walk the dog, go for a run, or even get the mail, embrace the fresh air!

14. Appreciate the little things!

We all know how exciting it is when our favorite song comes on the radio and a teacher doesn't assign homework.

15. Say that one thing you've been holding back.

"I love you." "I'm sorry." and "What happened?" are all short sentences that can be game changers. Give it a shot!

16. Drink Water.

This is SO important. Water boosts energy, helps your skin, rids toxins, and reduces the risk of cancer! There are literally 0 negatives.

17. Do something for someone else!

This doesn't have to be anything big. Paying someone's toll, buying the person's coffee behind you, or even giving a wave can make someone's day. Plus, its contagious. Pay. It. Forward.

18. LOVE YOURSELF.

You are the only person you will forever live with, so why not make it a wonderful experience? Plus, Justin Bieber agrees with me.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
