Long distance friendships are hard to keep up, but when they work, they are so special. Everyone that has a long distance best friends know the profound benefits of having their person be across the country:

1. They don't actually know anyone in your life.

3. You get to see them grow up from afar.

4. Every time you see them you have so much to catch up on.

5. Getting to see them is the best feeling ever.

7. You always reminisce about old times.

8. Posting embarrassing photos of them on their birthday is the highlight of your year.

9. When you see their hometown friends saying they're his/hers best friend, you know the truth.
