With all the education we have received, it seems crazy that there are still facts out there that have been able to blow our minds. But each time we are left in shock and awe and are just waiting for it to happen again. So here are a few facts that you may or may not know. Get the cleaning supplies out, because your mind is about to explode all over the walls.

1. Remember Humpty Dumpty? Everyone assumes he is an egg, but he isn't. The rhyme never says anything about him being an egg.

2. You can always see your nose, but your mind just chooses to ignore it most of the time.

3. You were at one point the youngest person in the world.

4. Are you somewhere you have been before? Laying in your bed or sitting at a desk? Newsflash, you have never been in the same place twice. This is only because the Earth is constantly spinning.

5. You cannot hum while holding your nose.

6. An octopus has three hearts.

7. There are more than twice as many nipples on the planet than people. And it is more than twice because a lot of people have a third or even fourth nipple.

8. There is only one hole in a straw. Because the one hole goes all the way through.

9. Fried chicken was invented in Scotland.

10. Pluto did not even make it around the Sun once before it was declassified as a planet.

11. You are more likely to be killed by a cow than a shark. Cows actually kill about 22 people per year.

12. The official national animal of Scotland is a unicorn.

13. Bowling can be traced back to 3200 BC thanks to Sir Flinders Petrie.

14. The popularity of Nutella has skyrocketed in the past few years, but it was actually created during World War II.

15. Anne Frank was born the same year as Martin Luther King Jr. We just always associate them with different points in history.

16. Frankenstein was the name of the creator of the monster, not the monster.

17. Oxford University is older than the Aztec Empire.

18. Only one organism on Earth is known to be immortal, the turritopsis Nutricula jellyfish. It even makes a special appearance on the show Octonauts.

Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.
