September 22, 2015 I turned 18. The morning after I sat in my dorm room and just began to think of all the useful thing I've learned in the last 18 years. Most of this is things you have been hearing your whole life, but they are relevant therefore they are on the list. So here we go, 18 things I've learned in 18 years:
- My mother is my best friend.
- Confidence is the key to success.
- Removing negativity from your life is easier said than done. But this challenge shouldn't be left undone.
- Radiating positivity should be apart of daily routine.
- Lipstick makes you feel good.
- treat yo self
- If you’re going through hell, keep going
- Don’t let anyone make you feel a way you don’t want to feel. You control your emotions not anyone else, they may be able to influence your emotions but not control them.
- Judging a book by its cover is as useless an unsharpened pencil.
- Don’t skip class.
- If your dreams don’t scare you they aren’t bigenough.
- Don’t settle. Whether it is boys, friends, expectations, pizza, or coffee.
- Quality over quantity.
- You get what you give. You get what you put in. The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary.
- Singing in the car will boost endorphins.
- Not everybody will like you. But that's okay as long as you like you.
- Don’t change for no body.
- This world is your oyster.
