2016 gave all of us many Ls. However, it wasn't that bad. Here's a list of actual good things that happened in 2016:

1. All the memes.

2.There's an Ebola vaccine now.

3. The rate of child mortality has gone down.

4. The survival rate for pancreatic cancer has increase by almost 10 percent.

5. Scientists found the gene that's responsible for ALS.

6. Suicide rates have gone down globally.

7. Leonardo DiCaprio finally got his Oscar.

8. The Ozone layer is healing itself.

9. Giant pandas aren't endangered anymore.

10. A solar powered plane flew around the world.

11.The rate of Malaria went down.

12. The rate of literacy in children has gone up to a 93 percent globally.

13. Manatees are also no longer endangered.

14. Wild Salmon are back spawning in the Connecticut river for the first time since the American Revolution.

15. Columbian white-tailed deer and green sea turtles are also no longer endangered.

16. Sea World no longer breeds captive killer whales.

17. Also humpback whales are no longer endangered/

18. Global aid is up by 7 percent.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?
