When I was in high school I taught myself how to play/understand football. I watched any and all games during the season and officially started liking the Packers in high school after watching several games and liking how they played. But it wasn't just the Packers games that I enjoyed, I also enjoyed watching other games because I was still learning. But the more I learned the more I realized that being a girl and loving football is hard but I don't care. It's my escape.

1. You probably taught yourself the game.

And you're super proud of that.

2. You look forward to game days more than anything.

3. You actually know what you're talking about.

And you know the positions. But people probably still won't take you seriously because you're a girl.

4. You love to talk smack to the other team/fans.

But you only yell when you know you're right because if you're not then it's super awkward.

5. Knowing the players' names is like second nature.

P.S. I have a new favorite player!

6. Also, knowing the lingo and the hand signals from the refs is second nature as well.

7. You wear a jersey because you're a true fan, not a groupie.

And this is very important to you.

8. Putting down your phone during the game is easy.

9. But sometimes you need to get a shot.

But only because you're excited to be there not bored or wanting attention.

10. When you see others just on the phone the whole time or constantly taking photos it irritates you.

Because why are they there in the first place.

11. Most of your girlfriends don't understand the game.

And they don't understand why your so into, or obsessed, with football.

12. Football is your escape from the real world.

But when you tell people they look at you like you're crazy.

13. You'd rather watch a game then go out.

Because football is more important.

14. You look forward to your teams first game of the season.

Even if you can't be there in person.

15. You just love football and that's it.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
