While sitting wrapped in a blanket, drinking hot coffee, wearing two pairs of leggings, three pairs of socks, and an itchy wool hat and scarf (inside the "comfort" of my home), I thought to myself, "It's too cold to think."

For those of us who prefer being warm over being cold, winter brings additional daily hurdles to overcome: getting out of bed, having to go outside and wishing you never left your bed, and spending the rest of your day thinking how warm your bed is. All energy is spent trying to keep warm.

Being perpetually cold is a challenge only made more burdensome by winter's bone numbing temperatures. For those of you who are perpetually cold like myself, know that you are not alone in this winter. For those of you who are always warm, read this article and learn the signs:

1. Not being able to move because of the amount of layers you have on

2. When you're not sure if you're crying because you're upset that it's cold or if you're crying because the cold air making your eyes water

3. Your outfit inspiration is always, "It's cold outside."

4. Needing a cuddle buddy for warmth and winter survival purposes

5. Seriously contemplating carrying your blanket with you to public places

This guy might be violating social norms, but I bet he is warm and not regretting his decision in the slightest.

6. Buying coffee to keep your hands (or feet) warm

7. Wishing you were a cat so you could lay on your warm laptop

8. Or a bear so you can sleep through the winter season

9. Needing this mug as a formal apology

It's hard to play it "cool" when you're angry and cold. (I'm sorry for that pun--I was cold).

10. The most romantic relationship in your life is between you and your electric blanket

11. Having to mentally prepare for the journey between your bed and the shower

12. Not wanting to touch anything you know is going to be cold

13. Looking up pictures of tropical islands on the Internet and wishing you were there

14. When someone with cold hand or feet touches you, it just about ends your friendship

15. Never having plans because you refuse to leave your house

16. People ignoring you because you keep complaining about being cold

17. Checking the temperature and saying:

P.S.

While it's funny to joke around about the "struggles" of being cold, I just want to remind you, whoever is reading this, even if you are truly freezing, there are people who don't have electric blankets, a fourth pair of socks, or even a jacket to wear during the winter season.

Here is one example of a place to donate to someone in need, among many other wonderful organizations.

Warmth is a condition of the body, as well as the heart.

10 Truths About Being In A Sorority

(For Girls Who Are Interested In Greek Life)

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.
