17 Times Lily From "Modern Family" Accurately Described College

College is a whole new experience. You're busier, moodier, and more tired than you ever were in high school. Some days you're on top of the world, and other times you're not feelin' it AT ALL. Even though she's only eight years old, Lily Tucker-Pritchett seems to understand this better than anyone.

1. When you first move into the your dorm and realize how little space you have.

There's no way you can fit your whole wardrobe in that tiny excuse for a closet.

2. Going to class on the first day and trying to make small talk with the people around you.

Wow, I might've just talked to my future best friend! Well, that's enough socializing for today.

3. When you see a girl in a dress while you're slumming in a T-shirt and tennis shoes.

You're lucky I even rolled out of bed.

4. When your friend complains about her 9:30 class when you have an 8 a.m.

Oh please, you have NO idea.

5. Getting up 10 minutes before your class that's all the way across campus.

If I run fast enough, I can make it. I may look dead and be out of breath, but the extra 30 minutes of sleep is worth it.

6. After having three back-to-back classes with no breaks in between.

All I want is food and a five-hour nap.

7. Having to dress nice for class on pin attire days.

Yes, I don't always look like a hot mess. Better appreciate this, because it won't happen again for another month.

8. Going thrift shopping with your friends because it's all you can afford.

But don't get me wrong, it's also so rewarding. Four-dollar flannels just can't be beat. Give it a quick wash and no one will know.

9. When your professor holds class late, and your next class is on the other side of campus -- in 10 minutes.

Well, make that nine minutes now.

10. When you don't feel like listening to your friends' relationship problems AGAIN.

I've heard it all before, and my "project" (a.k.a. Netflix) is calling my name.

11. After being in lecture for approximately 10 minutes.

"Ugh, I haven't even started that paper due tomorrow." "Haha, that guy's asleep over there." "Wait, did he just say that this is going to be on the test? OK, focus..." "I need to work out more." "No, I need cheese fries."

12. After trying to eat healthy for a day.

Oh forget it, I'll just start running instead... Starting tomorrow.

13.When you've been in the library studying for finals for 10 straight hours.

If I look at one more flash card, my brain is going to explode.

14. Being super passive-aggressive after discovering that your friends didn't invite you out with them.

Nope, not bitter about it. I had better things to do anyway.

15. But not being able to stay mad because you have to tell them about your latest crush.

Have I talked to him? Well, no, but we've made eye contact in class like three times.

16. And because you need to ask them what to wear to the party on Friday night.

Because dressing to go out is a science.

17. And finally because in the end, you're always there for them, too.

Because these are the people who will end up being your lifelong best friends.

You get to check things off of your requirement checklist. It's an opportunity for a fresh start with new classes (which you tell yourself you'll never skip.) This process, which always starts out so optimistic, can get frustrating really quickly. Here are 25 thoughts you have when registering for classes.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
