17 Times "Home Alone" Depicted Your Fall Semester Of College

Ahh, fall semester of college. It's a time freshman students make the transition from home and high school to an entirely new environment. Those of us who are returning to college have to readjust to our usual school lives after eventful summers that were filled with exciting travels and great times at home with friends and family. Regardless of where home is for you, it is likely that you'll miss it at times. Whether you are a freshman or a returning student, there are struggles and moments (good and bad) that you are bound to go through during your time away. There's always hope for all of us, though. Allow me to illustrate some familiar college moments with your favorite childhood film series.

2. You wave goodbye to your family, promising them you'll be okay...

3. But your mom can't stop worrying or thinking about you. She knows you well enough to understand that you won't stay out of trouble.

4. You're so happy you're finally on your own, though.

5. But you still manage to sometimes get out of bed wishing your mom is there.

6. Thankfully, you've found the crazy friend or roommate who'll stick with you till the end.

7. You and that friend/roommate often find yourselves in awkward situations together.

8. Currently, you're trying to get with the program but know it's going to be "off with your head" when mom and dad ask for your first set of exam results.

9. Meanwhile, you realize that your diet has consisted of the unsophisticated staples for days on end: pizza and soda.

10. You actually have to do your own grocery shopping now, too.

11. And, finally, you're beginning to get the hang of things around here and start killing your assignments and exams. They ain't got nothin' on you!

12. Your family calls and asks why you haven't contacted them in over a week, and you respond with something that'll make them feel better.

13. Naturally, you do the walk of shame after pulling an all-nighter.

14. You can't remember the last time you showered because of how stressed you are.

15. Towards the end of the semester, you have a heart to heart conversation with yourself about changes that you need to make.

16. But you still manage to peace out the semester like a pro.

17. Turns out, things actually came along pretty well. You'll be back next spring semester ready for more.
