If you go to a school far away, you've probably spent a long time away from home. A long time away from private bathrooms, actual good cooking, and unconditional love.

Either way, there are a lot of thoughts going through your head when you finally return back home after midterms and a few months away.

1. Has my bed always felt like a cloud?

2. It's so nice to wake up without throwing my phone at the wall to shut off the alarm.

3. Mom, this is by far the best batch of mashed potatoes you have ever made.

4. So glad to finally have a car to drive again. I feel just like Ryan Gosling in Drive (minus the head kicking in part)

5. Why isn't there a Chick-fil-a on my campus?

6. I didn't go outside once today. My pale skin probably won't be able to handle the next time I see the sun.

7. Are you stupid? There's no way that showcase is worth $38,000!

8. Shit! I have a test when I get back! Eh. I'll study on the walk to the test.

9. Oh it's so nice to see you, person I haven't spoken with since High School.

10. Can I take my dog back with me?

11. I'm so bored that I'm literally playing solitaire with a real deck of cards.

12. I miss all of my friends. I wonder if they miss me as much.

13. Oh my God! Look at these old pictures. Why didn't anyone stop to tell me that haircut makes me look like one of the Beatles?

14. Maybe I could play trumpet again! I haven't played since - nope. Nope. There's a colony of spiders growing in there.

15. When do I go back?

16. Mom. Dad. Thank you so much for everything this break.

17. I'm so glad I came home.

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
