Summer is a fun time for everyone, whether you are in school, on vacation, or working, you can still have a lot of fun! Here is a list of some things to do this summer to make you have even more of a fantastic summer 2017!

  1. Take a mini vacation or road trip. Roll the windows down, play your favorite playlists and let loose.

  2. Make a Pinterest worthy picnic. Picnics are always a great idea and a healthier alternative than fast food! Check out some picnic themes and food ideas and have fun with it!

  3. Walk downtown of your city/town. Check out downtown in your city and support your local small businesses!

  4. Visit relatives or friends. From down the road or across the country, visiting some of your favorite people will be sure to make you happy this summer.

  5. Treat yourself. Have a spa day and relax. Exfoliate, face mask, mani, pedi. The whole 9 yards. Relax and rejuvenate.

  6. Go to a farmer's market. Purchase some fresh fruits, veggies, and flowers from your local farmer’s market. Not only will you be supporting your community but you will be sure to enjoy a fun afternoon in the sun!

  7. Plan your future. Although summer is supposed to be fun and have less stress than any other time, planning your future is very important and will help you be less stressed as fall comes.

  8. Stargaze. Looking up at the stars and watching for shooting stars just has a magical sound to it. It is very relaxing and can get you with nature.

  9. Have fun. No matter what you do, have fun. Spend time with family, friends, animals, etc. Play games, have fun, get rowdy.

  10. Attend a parade. Whether it be a seasonal parade or something that you are very passionate about, support the community and have a good time.

  11. Volunteer. You can do many things to volunteer and your community will be so grateful. What better way to spend your free time during the summer than making a difference in your town?

  12. Day in the sun. Spend a day soaking up some rays. Visit an aquarium, zoo, water park, or roller coaster park!

  13. Watch movies. Binge watch Netflix, go to a drive-in movie theatre, or have dinner date and watch one of the best movies for this summer.

  14. Plant trees. Be good and help the environment. Trees are so good for each and every person and it can make you feel so great to be doing something amazing for our earth!

  15. Read! New series are coming out all the time! Take advantage of your free time and get nose deep in a great book! Even if it is one of your favorites that you’ve read more than once or twice.

  16. Get involved. Check your newspaper or community Facebook page to see if there are any fun events going on such as a scavenger hunt or dog park day.

  17. Collect something. Memories, seashells, pictures, laughs. Collect one thing or everything. Keep these memories from this summer and have them to look back on this fantastic summer.
