1. You fall in love with every male doctor. Why haven’t any of your doctors looked like that?

2. You quickly learn that Shonda is NOT your friend.

3. Cristina will become and remain your spirit animal.

4. You will change your major because surgery is now your life.

5. Speaking of surgery, you will convince yourself you could do a solo appy. If you watch all 11 seasons on Netflix, you could probably operate on an inoperable brain tumor.

6. Your friends will grow tired of you talking about Grey’s Anatomy. They don’t care what crazy stunt Meredith pulled today or who’s dating who now.

7. You’ll also need a chart to keep up with the relationships and hook ups. The characters even seem to forget or lose track from time to time.

8. Your sleeping pattern will change. Interns work 48 hour shifts. You are an intern now so you might as well start acting like it. Hey, that’s 48 episodes. No problem.

9. You will feel a lot better about your crazy outbursts because most of the characters are crazy in their own little adorable “fall in love with them” kind of way.

10. Don’t worry if you don’t like someone at first. They will always do something awesome and will grow on you.

11. You will realize it’s not a good idea to get attached to ANYONE.

12. You will cry and you will cry a lot.

13. You will need a few days to mourn after certain episodes and for the entire eighth and ninth seasons.

14. There will be no getting over the events of season 11 and you will understand and regret ever watching the series but realize that the feeling is a lie because it’ll be some of the best and worst moments of your life.

15. You will feel empty inside until Netflix uploads season 12. There are no shows that can compare.

16. But you will eventually try to watch the spin off, “Private Practice,” but you won’t like the L.A. doctors nearly as much and if you like Addison Montgomery, you’d be cheating on Meredith.

17. In the end, by starting and finishing the series, you will realize you don’t have any real friends because you’ve spent too much time being besties with fictional characters and you don’t know how to socialize with real people anymore.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
