When I was younger, most people around me loved summer because of the school-is-out season. Now that I am older, I feel less inclined to like summer because it turns out that fall is my favorite season.

Get ready for this coming Friday, ladies and gentlemen because the season of football, hot drinks, leaves, boots, and sweaters is approaching.

Here are 17 signs that Fall is your favorite season:

1. You understand the acronym PSL in autumn terminology

Spoilers: Pumpkin Spice Latte

2. Your go-to outfit is a sweater, boots, and beanies

They're comfortable to wear and simple to sport in at the same time.

3. You're fascinated by the gleaming streets

There is beauty to the lights glowing the rainy streets.

4. You love the smell of cinnamon

"CINNN-A-MON" *in Elsa and Anna's voices*

5. Hello, decent weather

Close your eyes, breathe in the air, and appreciate the wind.

6. Best flavor in every food

Butternut squash soups, pumpkin scones, apple pie, and anything in the fall cookbook.

7. Fuzzy blankets

Can't resist them.

8. Candles

Extra piece of autumn scent in your house.

9. You feel like a literature character as you walk through the misty fog

Sherlock Holmes or Wuthering Heights, for example

10. You love your extra hour of sleep

Don't we all? We won't be that much tired for half a year.

11. You're excited for a new season of your favorite TV show

It seems like most TV shows and new seasons premiere during the fall season.

12. You know you're never too old to kick the leaves

When in doubt, kick the leaves.

13. ... or jump into them

Regardless of getting leaves your hair, you'll happy to let out your inner child.

14. ... or even make leaf angels

There aren't just snow angels, there's leave angels as well.

15. You're excited about football season

Interceptions, tackling, and touchdowns.

16. You're looking forward to candy, costumes, and horror movies

*Pretends to conduct*

"This is Halloween, everybody make a scene, trick or treat till the neighbors gonna die of fright, it's our town, everybody scream, in this town of Halloween."

I just had to.

17. You're looking forward to turkey, pie, cranberry sauce, potatoes, and gravy

... and Thanksgiving pants

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.

Growing up I have always wanted to own a horse. My grandparents own a well known equestrian facility in Georgia, so I have been riding since I was born. A bond between a person and their horse is a bond so strong that it cannot be broken. Everywhere I went I wanted to be around horses, even forcing my family to go on trail rides during vacations. Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember has taught me great responsibility, as well as 14 things that all equestrians can relate to.

College is super hard. Between working, studying, and having a social life, it feels like a struggle to just keep afloat.

I understand. When you feel like your drowning and there's no way to stay afloat I understand that it feels like everyone else is doing just fine. I understand all the frustration, long nights in the library, and that feeling that you want to just throw in the towel. I understand that sometimes it's too hard to get out of bed because your brain is already filled with too much information to remember. I understand because I am also feeling pretty burnt out.
