I'm jumping on the bandwagon late, but I recently read Rupi Kaur's Milk & Honey, and it's absolutely amazing. I loved every single piece she wrote, so it's hard to narrow down my favorites, but I think these quotes effectively encompass the message she conveys in each and every one of them. Her words are so powerful, and they are incredibly raw and relatable. If you don't believe me, read below, and see if you change your mind.

1. "And here you are living despite it all."

2. "Our backs tell stories no books have the spine to carry."

3. "How you love yourself is how you teach others to love you."

4. "If you were born with the weakness to fall, you were born with the strength to rise."

5. "Accept yourself as you were designed."

6. "The world gives you so much pain, and here you are making gold out of it."

7. "Loneliness is a sign you are in desperate need of yourself."

8. "Our work should equip the next generation of women to outdo us in every field. This is the legacy we'll leave behind."

9. "It takes grace to remain kind in cruel situations."

11. "What is stronger than the human heart, which shatters over and over, and still lives."

12. "I found there were no roots more intimate than those between a mind and body that have decided to be whole."

13. "Of course I want to be successful, but I don't crave success for me. I need to be successful to gain enough milk and honey to help those around me succeed."

14. "Women like you drown oceans."

15. "Most importantly, love like it's the only thing you know how."

16. "Do not look for healing at the feet of those who broke you."
