17 Resolutions to Make in 2017

2016 went by in the blink of an eye and now it's already 2017. How many of you stuck to your New Years resolution last year? If you didn't, it's okay. It's 2017 now, and the New Year calls for a chance to a new start. However, making and sticking to a resolution can be tricky. This year, find a resolution that is important to you and stick to it. Here are seventeen ideas for your New Years resolution this year.

  1. Go for a run at least three times a week.
  2. Pick up a new hobby like scrapbooking or yoga.
  3. Read more books than you did last year.
  4. Learn a new skill that will look great on your resume.
  5. Keep a journal and write in it anything you want to remember.
  6. Start a blog about anything that interests you.
  7. Volunteer at a local animal shelter.
  8. Attempt to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into your diet.
  9. Fix your sleep schedule and get 8 solid hours of sleep a night.
  10. Limit your social media time each day.
  11. Spend more time with better people.
  12. Eliminate those people who bring you down from your life.
  13. Eat breakfast; even just a yogurt is a quick and easy breakfast on those days you're in a rush.
  14. Overcome a fear you've always had whether it be as simple as riding a roller coaster for the first time or as scary as telling that person you love him or her.
  15. Learn to relax more. While work is important, it is equally important to have some time to do what you enjoy. Set aside at least an hour each day to have some "me" time.
  16. Travel somewhere and plan a vacation to a place you've always wanted to visit.
  17. Become more organized. Clean your room, order your documents, make a schedule. Organization is important.

2017 is a new year and a blank page. You choose how to write your year. So what will you write?

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
