17 Reasons Fall Is The Best Time Of The Year
Carlise Warner

Winter is coming, but fall is honestly better.

1. Sweater Weather

It's the perfect time to curl up in a sweater and watch your favorite shows

2. Pumpkin spice everything

Call me basic. I love pumpkin spice, and you should, too. It's the flavor of fall, but I could totally go for pumpkin spice year-round.

3. Falling leaves

There is nothing more satisfying than the crunchy sound they make when you walk. It's calming, really/

4. Haunted houses (if you like them)

I don't, but my friends do. I prefer to not pay to be scared, but to each his own.

5. Corn mazes

Nothing says fall like wandering through a cornfield, and failing to do it very well.

6. Apple cider

Warm, specifically. Can you taste it? With a cinnamon stick? Yum!

7. Carving pumpkins

Get messy, have fun, and be creative. Who cares if the finished Jack-O-Lantern looks nothing like you planned?

8. Halloween

You have an excuse to dress up, and buy discount candy the day after. Sign me up!

9. Thanksgiving

An entire holiday devoted to food. What's not to love?

10. BLACK FRIDAY SHOPPING

The day after the holiday devoted to food, and a little bit the day of, devoted to SHOPPING with crazy deals.

11. Blankets

Curl up with a fuzzy blanket and veg all day. Blankets don't judge!

12. Bonfires

Friends, heat, blankets, s'

mores. I am here for that!

13. Walking to class and not breaking a sweat

There is nothing worse than getting to class and trying to act like you're not sweating. In Fall, you don't have to!

14. Football season = tailgating

I'm not much of a football fan, but I am quite a bit of a hot dog and hamburger fan!

15. Fall-scented candles

Toasted marshmallow, pumpkin spice, apple pie, apple cider, fallen leaves...

16. The colors are calming

They're not too bright, but there is still variety. We all know variety is the spice of life!

17. The decorations

Go to a Hobby Lobby or craft store and just TRY not to look at the decorations. Go on, I dare you.
