17 Reasons You'd Be Really Smart To Date An Education Major

It's no secret that education majors are some of the most lively and kindhearted individuals you will ever meet. Not only do they make the most influential role models, but they also make the loveliest of dates. If you're looking for someone spontaneous, passionate, and great with kids and parents, chances are you'd get along great with an education major.

Here are 17 reasons why dating an education major is the right choice for you:

1. Education majors have tons of experience interacting with parents and will have no problem winning over your family with their friendly charm.

They will own meeting the family like it's their job (no pun intended).

2. They are also great with kids and have been basically training to be parents throughout the entire course of their educational career.

They will make the best parents one day (no pressure).

3. They are lovers of all things spontaneous and adventurous and are constantly thinking of entertaining things to do.

You will never be bored around an education major.

4. Not to mention they are also youthful, energetic, and always up-to-date with millennial fads and lingo.

They will keep the relationship young, fresh, and lively.

5. These people are the life of the party.

They are highly adaptable and can easily turn any dull situation into something memorable and fun.

6. They will always push you into being the best person you can be.

They have full confidence in your abilities and will be your biggest cheerleader.

8. They are intelligent, especially in their designated field of teaching.

Once you bring up an education major's field of interest, be prepared for intellectually stimulating conversations about said subject.

9. Your date won't be afraid to get his or her hands dirty and try new things.

You will often find their hands and clothes stained with pen ink, paint, and other miscellaneous projects.

10. He or she will have quite entertaining "How was your day" stories.

You'll be surprised at the crazy situations these majors experience on a daily basis.

11. Not only are these people patient and fair, but they are great communicators, making conflicts easily resolvable.

If a conflict ever arises, they will generally always try their best to work through the situation maturely, ensuring both viewpoints are openly heard and expressed.

12. They are great role models who are responsible for influencing future generations to come.

Odds are, your date is someone's hero or inspiration. How cool is that?

13. They know how to make a group of people feel at ease.

Their job is to ensure everyone feels welcome, comfortable, and cared for.

14. They always have a bottle of wine handy.

A well-earned hug in a glass after a long day.

15. They will have no problem standing up to haters, bullies, and anyone else who tries to put you down.

Never underestimate the power of an education major. They have a zero bullshit tolerance.

16. Odds are, your date has a good sense of humor.

Education majors have seen it all, from booger-y 7-year-olds to sassy 13-year-olds. They know all too well that sometimes you can't help but laugh at whatever situation you are dealt.

17. Education majors are some of the most compassionate and caring people you will ever meet.

Remember, when they chose this major, they chose love and passion over money and wealth. They will bring this same commitment and selflessness into any relationship.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
