" Gilmore Girls" fans everywhere are rejoicing at the news of the reboot that is going to be put on Netflix in the near future. What's even better, almost everyone is coming back! Rory, Lorelei, Luke, Emily, even all three of Rory's boyfriends: Logan, Jess and, of course, Dean. As the excitement builds, I've come to realize just how much I love "Gilmore Girls" and how many life lessons it has taught me throughout the seven seasons that it aired on TV (besides the fact that coffee is all that matters in life). With the days drawing nearer to the Netflix premiere, here are just a few of the things I have learned from watching the series.

1. Sleep is important.

2. Sleep on the weekends is especially important.

Who wakes up at 6' o clock on a Saturday morning? Rory.

3. Coffee. Just coffee.

4. When people are really bothering you, sometimes you just have to pull a Luke and push them off a bridge.

This will never not be funny.

5. The best line for any situation, ever.

6. We can't help who we love, and that's ok.

7. The meaning of flexibility.

8. Never beat around the bush, tell it like it is.

Paris style, of course.

9. We all have days where we just don't want to deal with anyone.

10. Being in love might involve making a fool out of yourself.

11. Mornings just aren't all that exciting.

Unless there is coffee involved.

12. Planning ahead is challenging.

13. Take risks and live dangerously.

14. A TV show isn't just a TV show.

15. Look for a guy who has the passion of Jess, the heart of Dean and the carefree spirit of Logan.

You jump, I jump, Jack.

16. It's ok to laugh at yourself.

17. Sometimes, you just need your mom.

Because few bonds are stronger than that between a mother and her daughter.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
