It's almost fall break. Which means that as much as you love the freedom of college and being away from your family, nothing sounds more glorious right now than spending a weekend at home. Away from boring professors, new friends, and lingering responsibilities. It's time for a brief getaway before you have to make the academic homestretch until the holidays. Basically, the only thing standing between you and your own comfortable bed at home is...midterms.
So you crack open a book and attend a review session.
Yet suddenly everything you've learned looks like it's in some foreign language.
But it's okay because you'll be going home soon enough.
At last, you take your exams and you're ready to get out of here.
Only to realize your flight is delayed.
Finally, you board, take off, and land. Things begin to look familiar.
And then you see your dog...
...stuff your face with your mom's home-cooked food.
Take a snooze in your own bed.
Take your own car out for a spin.
But then your parents start asking you about school.
Not to mention, your siblings won't leave you alone.
And then you begin to miss your roommate.
You even begin to miss your dorm room, despite its size and condition.
Finally, it's time to head back to campus.
Thank God.
So, when's Thanksgiving?
