We're done our first month of 2017, and it sure has been interesting so far! Here are some things we have to look forward to during the rest of the year.

1. New Music

Ed Sheeran, Drake, Fergie, Katy Perry, Eminem, and many more are expected to release new music this year. Get ready for some new hits!

2. New Movies

A lot of remakes and sequels are coming out this year as well as original films. "A Dog's Purpose"(January 27), "Fifty Shades Darker" (February 10), "Beauty and the Beast" (March 17), "Transformers: The Last Knight" (June 23), "The Fate of the Furious" (April 14), "Captain Underpants" (June 2), and a lot more.

3. Our President

Whether you support Trump or not, we are all anticipating a different form of office and outcomes. It should be an interesting time with Trump now in office.

4. New and Improved Cars

Cars are always changing and upgrading. You can possibly get your hands on a model of the car in Back to the Future.

5. Safety

Safety for your home, self, and cars are advancing.

6. Science and Medical Advances

Apparently a head transplant is in the works?

7. New Technology

You could possibly have your pizza or package delivered by a drone!

8. Video Games

New games and consoles are always exciting.

9. 'Hamilton' and other Broadway Shows

'Hamilton' is going nation wide!! Bette Midler will also be back on Broadway. “Mean Girls” musical is also a possibility.

10. Books

George R. R. Martin's new book, which Game of Thrones is based on, will be released.

11. A Solar Eclipse

How cool are these things?

12. Fashion

Clothes and the latest trends are always changing so fast that we can't even keep up with them.

13. Equality

Gender equality is on the rise (hopefully).

14. Sports Events

The Super Bowl, March Madness, NBA Playoffs, and many more.

15. Television and Specials

Three Dave Chapelle specials are coming to Netflix as well as many other shows and movies.

16. New Beginnings

Whether you're graduating high school, college, or just starting a new chapter of your life this year, it's a great thing to look forward to.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. Growing up I have always wanted to own a horse. My grandparents own a well known equestrian facility in Georgia, so I have been riding since I was born. A bond between a person and their horse is a bond so strong that it cannot be broken. Everywhere I went I wanted to be around horses, even forcing my family to go on trail rides during vacations. College is super hard. Between working, studying, and having a social life, it feels like a struggle to just keep afloat.

I understand. When you feel like your drowning and there's no way to stay afloat I understand that it feels like everyone else is doing just fine. I understand all the frustration, long nights in the library, and that feeling that you want to just throw in the towel. I understand that sometimes it's too hard to get out of bed because your brain is already filled with too much information to remember. I understand because I am also feeling pretty burnt out.

Some of the best advice I've ever received was from my social studies teacher in sophomore year of high school. He stated, "If you don't know it at midnight, you're not going to know it for the 8 a.m. exam, so get some sleep."

It's such a simple piece of advice, but it holds so much accuracy and it's something that the majority of college students need to hear and listen to. "All-nighters" are a commonality on college campuses in order to cram in studying for an exam that is typically the next day.
