We all know the joy of reading. Jumping into a story, connecting with the characters, escaping the stress of our daily lives and getting lost in the action. However, some of us get a little more joy out of reading than others. You know that you are a true book-lover when you have developed some strange reading-related habits. For instance, if you find that books are slowly taking over your room or you find yourself clearing time in your schedule so you can take a trip to the bookstore, you are probably a bookworm. Here are 17 things that all bookworms have probably done at least once in their life.
1. Forcing their favorite book on everyone around them.
2. Buying multiple copies of a book.
One copy is just not enough. I have to have my paperback for traveling purposes, my hardcover copy for aesthetic reasons, and the e-book in case I forget the physical book.
3. Getting jealous when you find out someone is reading your favorite book.
4. Constantly bugging people about what they think about the book you recommended.
What is happening? Okay, but what part are you at? Just wait until you get to the next part, it's epic!
5. Forcing people to go the the bookstore with you.
6. Relating anyone and everyone’s problems to the plight of your favorite character.
7. Talking about books, even when you are drunk.
8. Watching the movie based on a book that you have read, and pointing out every single difference.
9. Getting a tattoo based on your favorite book.
10. Shamelessly kicking people out of your room when you are reading
11. Receiving birthday presents related to a book.
12. Making sure you have packed all of your books when you go on vacation.
13. Moving to a new bedroom because you needed more space for your precious cargo.
14. Lending books to others, but only if they promise not to damage them.
Do not crack the spine, bend or rip the pages, spill water on it, or sneeze and cough on it. Actually, you know, just don’t breathe while you are reading it, okay?
15. Having multiple sets of a series.
You are basically a bookstore. But its okay because it's for lending purposes, of course.
16. Bringing a book with you wherever you go.
You never know when an opportunity to read may strike. It’s best to be prepared.
17. Having a difficult time accomplishing anything important because you don’t want to put your books down.
Just one more chapter. I just need to read one more chapter, then I will do my homework.
