17 Affordable And Fun Summer Dates To Go On With Your Boyfriend

It's summertime and all you want to do is live it up with your loved ones. Wanting to have the time of your life with those you love and saving money doesn't really sound like they would go hand in hand. But it can! There are countless affordable and fun things you can do this summer with your significant other. These are just a handful.

1. Get a pizza and go on a bike ride

Lunch by the lake eating a pizza together? Talk about romantic! And guess what... you don't need to leave a tip!

2. Grab a book or laptop and enjoy each others company

Relax on a blanket together and just enjoy being around each other. Sometimes the simple things in life, are the best things.

3. Make dinner at home

Whats better bonding time than looking up on google how to cook a steak?

4. Go to the zoo

I know what you're thinking. This article is about to be affordable things to do. Zoos are always having free days throughout the summer. Check them out on your local zoo's website!

5. Enjoy a nature walk together

Because just LOOK at that view. Oh, and the lake looks nice too!

6. Take some photos of nature!

Except.. you probably only need one camera for this. A moment lasts for a few seconds, but a photo lasts forever.

7. Have a photo shoot of each other

The best photo shoots are the ones that are unplanned. See a nice view? Betcha it looks better with your boyfriend/girlfriend in it. "Oh, yeah! Work it, baby!"

8. Go fishing

Even if you don't consider yourself an outdoorsy person, this can be really fun! Also, whats more fun than trying something new?

9. Go to a book store.. or any store

From the bookstore to running through the aisles at Target. It's nice to just find cool new things together!

10. Go to the beach and bury each other in the sand

You're never too old for this.

11. Get ice cream at a drive-in

Pop that truck open and enjoy your ice cream, and maybe some of your boyfriend's ice cream too.

12. Better yet... put a movie on, get comfy, and eat ice cream in bed

Kick your socks off, and get those cozy blankets!

12. Take part in each other's passions

Personally, I love photography. Who would be a better model than the person I know best? Do something your significant other likes to do. Wheater that's playing video games or painting!

13. Go on a nighttime adventure

Just because the day is over doesn't mean the fun needs to end. Experiencing the world at night gives it a whole new perspective.

14. Go to the park and hang out!

Climb a jungle gym, swing on the swings, spin each other on the tire swing, and remember what it was like to be a kid.

15. Enjoy a drive out of town

Trust me... the neck pillows are a must. You don't even need to have a destination, just put some jams on and sing on top of your lungs.

16. Go to a museum

Just like the zoo, museums are always having free days! Check out the website of the closest museum near you.

17. The most important thing... just have fun together

The best things in life can't be bought. Therefore, why would anyone ever think love could be?

This list isn't even a quarter of the fun and affordable things you and your significant other can do this summer. Every relationship is different, so use this as a reference and create your own list of things to do. Remember, the simple things in life can mean the most.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.

What's up Asshat,

I've composed a list of things that I wish upon you, and they're harsh and cruel. These things are things that I wouldn't wish upon my worst of enemies, not even that Starbuck's barista who always screws up my order, not even him. You fall into a whole other category of hate. You surpass Starbucks barista. Congratulations, I'm actually a pretty nice person, making you worthy of every single bit of torture I wish upon you. What are these things I wish upon you you might ask?
