16 Times Anna Kendrick Was All Of Us

If you don't know who she is, then we can't be friends.

16 Times Anna Kendrick Was All Of Us
Mr. Owl

First, can we all just agree that Anna Kendrick is one of the best celebrities out there? I mean, she's funny, awkward, and not afraid to speak her mind. I recently read her book Scrappy, Little, Nobody (go buy it, you won't regret it) (wait, you might regret it when your stomach is hurting from laughing at her hilarity, but you'll get over it) and I realized just how relatable she actually is. Guys, she's just like us.

1. When she was in middle school

Let's get one thing straight, middle school is hell. And even poor Anna Kendrick was picked on. In her book she says, "When my sixth-grade crush enumerated the reasons he wouldn't date any of the girls in our class, my label was 'too short.'" But seriously, look at her precious face. Kids are mean.

2. Her hobbies

Sweatpants and staying home? Those are like the magic words to make anyone happy. If you have some time to wear sweats and stay home, you're doing life right.

3. When she figured out the secret to love

"Wait, that's it! By fifth grade, I cracked a major development in strategy. I needed to get boys to talk to me." Girl, same.

4. Overestimating her abilities

We've all been there.

5. Avoiding human contact

This is so relatable on so many levels. I don't know about you, but I eat in my car more often than I'd like to admit so I don't have to talk look at people.

6. When she was adulting for the first time

"I was constantly congratulating myself for the smallest things. Yeah, I'm just riding the subway to work in New York City like it's no big deal." If you don't congratulate yourself on the little things, then I'm pretty sure you're adulting wrong.

7. When she didn't understand clubbing

"'Why isn't anyone dancing?' I shouted. If this had been the TV version of my life, a character would have explained that you don't dance, you just stand around looking cool." You're first time clubbing is quite the adventure.

8. Her rules for Taco Bell

Same. I'm like a unicorn and I don't really like Taco Bell (I know, fight me later), but if it's after midnight then I'm usually on board.

9. Her take on small talk

"Small talk makes me feel like the world is on fire." I'm pretty sure we all feel this way.

10. Her feelings about sleep

This is me about 90% of the time.

11. When meeting a famous person

I guess in her case it would be meeting a famous-er person. One time she met Beyonce and above is her reaction. I've actually had an experience where I saw someone famous out and I did not know what to do so I just froze up and didn't even talk to him. I get crap for it all the time.

12. Her thoughts on sharing food

1. Food is life. 2. Dessert is the best meal of the day. 3. JOEY DOESN'T SHARE FOOD (if you don't get this reference, we can't be friends...by the way, it's from Friends)

13. Boobs or butt guy

I don't care who you are, you have an opinion about the subject. Me? I'm a boob guy like Anna (pretty sure Anna and I are on a first name basis since I read her book and pretty much know everything about her now).

14. When she jams out

Okay, you caught me. This is from Lip Sync Battle, but she's still jamming out pretty hard. Take any long car ride and add some of your favorite music, you'll get the same result.

15. Being awkward

She's not afraid to admit it and neither am I. I'm awkward. Anna's awkward. You're awkward. We're all awkward, but we can be awkward together.

16. Always thinking things will be better next year

"And YET, I always think, This is my year. This year I'm going to get my shit SO together that I'll always be able to see the solution to my problems. I'm going to get it so together that I'll never have to 'get it together' again." That's the hope for all of us. But, so far this year Anna's already been to the Golden Globes and she has at least one movie that will be released this year (Pitch Perfect 3) so Anna has a decent chance of getting it together this year.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
