You know that feeling you get when you go somewhere you've never been before? You feel like you've found a missing part of your soul with each new place that you go. When you leave somewhere, you know that your home will never really feel like home again...because after all, home is where the heart is, and your heart is scattered across the globe. Here are 16 things that you know to be true if your heart is currently (and always) longing to see more of the world.

1. You have packing down to a science. You pride yourself in your packing skills.

2. You probably own multiple suitcases. All the sizes are necessary. Small for carry on. Large for overseas

3. You bring your own snacks to the airport. It’s basically a pantry in your carry on.

4. The emergency row on the airplane feels like a luxury. Holy leg room!

5. You still get a thrill when the plane takes off. It never gets old.

6. The background noise on the plane is perfect for reading...or sleeping…ZZZ.

7. But you avoid sleeping if you’re in the middle seat. You don’t want to wake up with your shoulder on that stranger next to you. Awkward.

8. Maybe you're picky at home, but you’ll eat just about anything when you're somewhere new. You’ve just gotten used to weird foods.

9. You have a U.S. map that you color in every time you go to a new state. Is anything more satisfying?

10. All your extra mason jars are devoted to travel funds. They’re way better than piggy banks because you can see the money piling up.

11. You have multiple travel boards on Pinterest. A hardcore amount of plans requires organization!

12. You are in awe of anyone who hasn’t left the state. You couldn’t imagine it.

13. Traveling defines you…even if you haven’t been anywhere in a while.

14. You even get jealous of other people who have been more places than you.

15. Nothing is more important to you than being in different cultures. The perspective you gain is incredible, and you wouldn’t trade it for anything.

16. Travel plans are in order as soon as you get home. You go home to recharge, not to stay.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
