16 Things You Know If You're from Monmouth County
Rob Villalta

Monmouth County is the best county in New Jersey, and that's coming from an unbiased writer. Okay, maybe I'm a little biased...but hear me out!

1.You've had the best bagels.

2. And the best pizza in NJ.

3. Whether it's summer, winter, or just a typical Friday night, Inkwell is the place to be.

4. You choose Surf Taco over Chipotle anytime.

5. The beach is basically your backyard wherever you live.

6. Bennies are the #1 source of traffic and your aggravation in the summer.

7.If you haven't taken a photo in front of the Porta doors, who are you?

8.You're pretty used to seeing "the city" from the beach.

9. And it isn't New York City, it's "the city."

10. You freaked out when you saw the new plans for Monmouth Mall.

11. But we all know that Freehold Raceway is way better.

12. If you run, Holmdel Park holds your worst nightmare: The Bowl.

13. Wawa is a way of life.

14. Dunkin Donuts is a staple.

15. If you don't go to PNC at least once every summer, was it even summer?

16. And last, but not least, it's pork roll!

I'm sorry, I don't know what Taylor Ham is.

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

CSU

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
