Every person is different so there may be some exceptions to this short list, but there are a lot of things that girls buy regularly that guys usually don't have to. After reading this article, you'll probably want to be a guy because of all the money you'd save. Here are 16 items that girls buy that most guys don't have to...
1. Pads, tampons, panty liners, Midol and all those other necessary products (which are overpriced).
2. Various makeup items of all kinds, which include but are not limited to: mascara, eyeliner, foundation, bronzer, concealer, blush, lipstick, lip gloss, contour stuff... the list goes on and on and on.
3. Hair products like blow dryers, straighteners and curling irons... And haircuts that cost at least $20 dollars rather than $8-12.
4. Manicures and pedicures or nail files and nail polish (although I know some men like this too).
5. Conditioner (unless you happen to be a man with a long flow who likes his hair soft and de-frizzed).
6. Scented lotions (which probably aren't completely necessary but who can resist Bath & Body Works?)
7. Two piece bathing suits (that usually cost money for each piece, rather than one price for both. So annoying.)
8. Various items a woman needs during pregnancy, like maternity clothes, new shoes, cocoa butter and more...
9. Bras: which include strapped, strapless, crossed in the back, sports bras and more.
10. Different types of underwear for different types of pants and occasions.
11. Makeup remover, because after all that work putting it on, you still need to get it off at the end of the day and soap just doesn't cut it.
12. Nail polish remover.
13. Heels and other uncomfortable shoes, which are dangerous to walk in but complete an outfit for weddings and other special occasions.
14. Dresses and skirts... tight, flowy, long and short.
15. The occasional bikini wax.
16. The wedding dress, the veil and all the other things that go along with it... which is usually way more expensive than renting a tux.
There is a lot that girls and women do to look their best everyday and people don't realize how much money it really costs to be a woman through the span of a lifetime. I hope this article made you say: "Oh my god yas" and if you are a guy, this was not meant to insult you, I know that you buy a few things that we don't buy too, just to be an eye-opener. Maybe one day the IRS will have tax exemptions for being a girl and having to spend so much money on tampons, but until then here we are, patiently waiting for menopause.
