If you watched Nickelodeon at all in the 90s or particularly Nick GAS (Games and Sports) in the 00s, then you likely hold fond memories of the many entertaining Nick game shows for which you longed to be a contestant. Unfortunately, that era of kids' game shows/competitions has passed, but I have decided to provide you with a heavenly dose of 90s nostalgia: 16 sentiments that describe what it was like growing up watching these classic Nick game shows.

1. Contemplating which team you wanted to represent on "Legends of the Hidden Temple."

"Purple is my favorite color but monkeys are my favorite animal...!" - The struggle was real.

2. Yelling at contestants in the Temple Run as though they were characters in a horror movie.

"I told you a Temple Guard was hiding there!"

3. Groaning in utter frustration when a contestant struggled to assemble the Shrine of the Silver Monkey.

4. Feeling satisfied and grateful when the Shrine was assembled as easily as it should be.

5. Never forgetting the name of the "Figure It Out" host because you can only say it how Jay announced it.

"Here's your host, Summerrrrr Sanderrrrs!"

6. Questioning how some F.I.O. contestants were accepted but also feeling better about not being a prodigy or holding a world record.

Seriously, though, how does "Brother eats cereal from chest bowl" follow a Chinese acrobat in the same episode?

7. Determining what your secret on Bill the Answer Head would be.

8. Loving ref Mo's accent on "GUTS."

9. Wanting to test your abilities in these challenges more than on any other game show.

Seriously, it was like extreme youth Olympics with unconventional events. Who wouldn't want to try these?

10. Dreaming of holding a piece of the Aggro Crag above your head in glorious victory.

The most coveted trophy of its generation -- it even glowed!

11. Yearning to be slimed!

Slime was a Nickelodeon staple for heaven's sake!

12. Wanting to visit Universal Studios, Florida to witness one of these shows LIVE and IN-PERSON.

You could also be the lucky contestant that could win a prize or you could get some second-hand slime! DREAM VACATION.

13. Crying because that studio no longer exists in Orlando.

Neither does the true green slime nor any comparable kids' game shows.

14. Feeling sorry for those who had or will have a deprived childhood because of this.

15. Appreciating Nickelodeon's effort to bring back its game shows, including a resurrection of "Figure It Out."

There is hope for this generation after all.

Let there be slime once more!

16. But always remaining biased toward the classics because nothing can recreate your childhood!

And, frankly, we all still dream of the Aggro Crag and good ol' Olmec.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
