Classes are about to start again, which can only mean one thing: fall is just around the corner. Summer was fun with it's sunshine and days away from campus, but let's face it, fall is undeniably the best season of all. So I present to you, 16 reasons why fall is actually the best.

1. Saying goodbye to all the sweat

Summer is beautiful and warm, but my goodness sometimes it's just ~too~ warm. It gets tiring when you're sweating all day until the sun finally goes down. Nice moderate weather will definitely be a welcome change.

2. Getting to break out the layers

Fall means it's almost time to put away the tank tops and shorts and time to bring out the pants, sweaters, vests, jackets, boots, and every other wonderful piece of clothing that was meant to be worn as part of a whole ensemble

3. Pumpkin flavored everything

Coming from an area that gets so pumped about pumpkins that we have a whole ~show~ devoted to them, I get pretty pumped about everything of the pumpkin flavored variety. Give me all the pumpkin.

4. The leaves changing color

There's nothing quite like watching the leaves change colors every fall. It seems to happen when you're not quite looking, but it's always just as beautiful as the very first time you've seen it.

5. New fall line ups on tv

Fall means new shows coming out and new seasons of your favorite shows coming back. I definitely can't wait for the new season of American Horror Story.

6. Carving pumpkins

There's nothing like going to the pumpkin patch and searching the field for the perfect pumpkin to take home and carve into your own masterpiece. Plus roasted pumpkin seeds are a delicious byproduct of pumpkin carving.

7. Bonfires

Spending the night around a crackling fire with your best pals roasting some marshmallows is almost therapeutic. It's a wonderful little escape and it just lets you appreciate the little things.

8. The decorations

Pumpkins, leaves, burlap, adorable throw pillows. There's just something about fall that ignites the inner Martha Stewart of us all.

9. Halloween

Halloween is great for those of us that like to get a little ~spooky~

10. Fall/Halloween movies

ABC Family's 13 Days of Halloween is literally a gift from God. Hocus Pocus, Halloweentown, Twitches, Practical Magic, and pretty much any other Halloweenish movie instantly puts a smile on my face.

11. Haunted houses

Haunted houses are great. It seems odd to pay money to have other people scare you, but it's such a rush and it's so much fun.

12. Football

Saturdays and Sundays were made for football. Delicious snacks and tailgating with friends and family, what could be a better way to spend the weekend?

13. Thanksgiving

Spending time with your loved ones and wearing stretchy pants and stuffing your face makes Thanksgiving an A1 holiday in my book.

14. Apple cider and warm donuts

Warm cider and donuts? Does it need any other explanation? I think not.

15. Cozy blankets and spending evenings in

Fall festivities are fun, but staying in and watching a spooky movie or reading a good book and getting cozy on the couch can be equally as fulfilling.

16. All the amazing fall scented candles

One of the things that excites me the most about fall is all of the fall scented candles. I love the magic of making my house smell like I'm baking without having to turn the oven on.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
