16 Reasons Why Anderson Cooper Is Flawless

Yes, the recent Democratic debate was intense, enlightening, vicious, yadda, yadda, yadda. Jim, Bernie, Hilary, Martin, Lincoln — you all looked beautiful, but the real star of the show was our lovely moderator, Anderson Cooper. Let’s be real, were any of us really looking at anyone else? Honestly, if they wanted the focus to be on the politics, they should have chosen someone else to ask the questions...

Since the debate viewing kept interrupting shots of Anderson by panning at those other people (smh), we weren’t able to fully appreciate all his glory.

Please enjoy (uninterruptedly) the perfection that is Anderson Cooper, with some facts in between.

1. His brown hair turned gray when he was 20 — he now refers to the color as “salt-and-pepper.”

Whatever you say, you silver fox.

2. He has fantasized about styling his hair into a Mm

Again, whatever you say.

3. He studied Political Science and International Relations at Yale University.

It’s fine, babe. Yale’s almost just as good as Cornell.

4. He interned for the CIA

"There was a flyer for the CIA in my college career counseling office, and I applied for a summer job. I was a political science major and was interested in serving my country. I know the CIA may sound more exotic and mysterious, but it was actually pretty bureaucratic and mundane, at least the little bit that I saw of it. By the end of the second summer, I realized it was not a place I wanted to work after college," he wrote on his blog.

Mhmm.

5. At the University of Hanoi, he studied the Vietnamese language for a year.

Tôi yêu bạn [I love you].

6. He is the son of heiress and socialite Gloria Vanderbilt, and the great-great-great-grandson of Cornelius Vanderbilt, shipping and railroad magnate and leader of one of the wealthiest and most respected families in New York.

-insert money eyes emoji-

7. He was photographed for an issue of "Harper's Bazaar" as a baby.

Flawless even as a baby.

8. As an adolescent, he modeled for Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, and Macy's.

Yum.

9. He has no formal education in journalism.

Oh bae, only makes you greater.

10. Regardless, he only reports the truth.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

11. At age 17, after graduating high school a semester early, he traveled around Africa for several months on a "survival trip."

So badass.

12. He contracted malaria on the trip and was hospitalized in Kenya.

#Survivor.

13. He published a memoir in 2006, "Dispatches from the Edge," about his time in Sri Lanka, Africa, Iraq, and Louisiana.

Oooh, a published man.

14. Some of the proceeds from the book sales are donated to charity.

What. A. Gem.

15. Cooper has been dating Benjamin Maisani since 2009.

"The fact is, I'm gay, always have been, always will be, and I couldn't be any more happy, comfortable with myself, and proud."

Darn.

16. Anderson Cooper's net worth is $100 million.

Hot damn.

OMG. It's so teeny tiny.

Words of advice: save this one on your desktop for a rough day. Anderson Coops and a small animal can help you through the darkest of times.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
