16 Questions I Have For Trump Supporters

Who would have ever imagined that 2016 would be the year Donald Trump decided to run for president? I am still shocked that he is invested and determined to run for the office based on his past of talking about maybe running one day. From the outlandish comments he has made, the reality-show-surreal nature of his campaign and the amount of publicity he has received, he has left me with more questions than answers and many of them pertain to his supporters. Well, Trumpeters, I have a few questions for you and why you support the Trump.

1. Do you support Trump because he is the only candidate you've heard of before?

I am just wondering.

2. Would you consider yourself a racist or sexist?

I hope that you don't.

3. Do you really believe he will last more than a week in the White House without getting impeached?

You should look up what impeachment is if you don't already know.

4. Do you know what ISIS is?

It is not a country.

5. Seriously, do you seriously believe he is going to be able to build a wall cutting us off from Mexico?

You understand how ridiculous this idea is, right?

6. Do you have any idea how much that would cost?

An absurd amount of money well wasted.

7. Where do you think that money would come from?

Not China or Mexico. Try your paycheck.

8. How is dividing the American population making America great again?

Last I checked, one of America's biggest strengths is our commitment to inclusion and diversity, not caring about our reputation.

9. Do you know that he can't just ban an entire population from entering the country, right?

Sounds a little bit like Europe during World War II, not okay.

10. Do you know any of the policies he wants to put through, and what they will do to the economy?

You might want to look that up.

11. Do you know what the economy is?

I trust that you do.

12. Do you support him because of the hair?

It's iconic and I totally get it if that is part of your reasoning.

13. 'You're fired" doesn't apply to kicking immigrants out of the country, you know that right?

It doesn't and it never should.

14. What are your problems with minorities and immigrants?

There shouldn't be one. Weren't your ancestors most likely immigrants?

15. Would you also date your daughter if she wasn't your daughter?

He said it. I'm just simply asking.

16. Why? Just please tell me why you support him?

Please give me and why behind the action.

Do yourself and your country a service and become educated about all the candidates running. The best thing you can do is be an informed voter and support whom ever you feel is the best candidate.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
