16 Moments Every College Kid Can Relate To

After the first Despicable Me I fell in love with Minions, and soon they'll have a feature film all to themselves. You can never understand these evil yellow blobs, but we can actually relate to them more than you think. If there was a way we could buy ourselves a minion, you know we'd all have our own posse of babbling yellow henchmen. I just want to stick one in my pocket and take it home with me.

1) When you have to do chores around the house and your roommates aren’t home.

2) When you’re having a great day, and someone tries to kill your vibe.

3) When you reunite with bae after summer break.

4) When you find $5 in your jean pockets.

5) When you’re chillin’ on spring break without any worries.

6) When you see the booty for the first time.

7) When someone gives you the aux cord at the pre game.

8) When your song comes on at a party.

9) When you realize how much homework you have to do before Monday.

10) When you’re hung over and still have to go to class.

11) When your boss leaves work early and you’re unattended all day.

12) When it’s raining and BFF forgets their umbrella, but you got their back.

13) When you show up to your friend’s house party with more people than you originally said.

14) When you unexpectedly run into your ex and their new boo.

15) At family parties when your relatives ask if you’re dating anyone.

16) When you and your friend have so many inside jokes, no one understands you two.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

For many undergraduates across the nation, the home stretch has begun. Only one more semester remains in our undergraduate career. Oh, the places we will go! For the majority of college seniors, this is simultaneously the best and worst year out of the past four and here’s why.

1. The classes you are taking are actually difficult.

A schedule full of easy pottery throwing and film courses is merely a myth on the average campus. With all of those prerequisites for the upper-level courses and the never-ending battle you fight each year during registration for limited class seats, senior year brings with it the ability to register for the final courses you need to fulfill your major. Yet, these are not the easy entry level courses. These are the comprehensive, end of major, capstone courses designed to apply the knowledge from all your previous courses, usually in the form of an extensive research paper or engaged learning project. The upside is you actually probably really enjoy these classes but alas there is no room for slackers here.
