One in the morning is the best time to think of an article topic. It is when my brain is most curious and wanting to wander around. During these late night wanders, my brain likes to explore and think of new random facts to add to my already existing collection. Below are a few of the fantastic facts that are now stored in my head thanks to the late night wandering that I have experienced this summer.

1. The internal temperature of a wombat is 77 degrees.

2. There are 16 tablespoons in a cup.


3. The surface area of a normal brick is 79 cm squared.


4. There are 10 body parts on the human body that are only three letters long.

5. Earth is the only planet not named after a Greek or Roman god or goddess.

6. The castle that Dracula was written to have lived in is called Bran Castle.

7. Charlie Brown's dad was a barber.

8. The largest flower in the world is the titan arums. It is 10 feet high and three feet wide. It smells like decaying flesh.

9. The internal temperature of a squirrel is 99 degrees.

10. The elephant is the only animal with four knees.

11. Deer do not have gall bladders.

12. Durian is a fruit that smells as though it is rotten when it is ripe.

13. Roses are related to several different fruits and a nut. Those are as follows: apples,cherries, raspberries, nectarines, peaches, plums, pears and almonds.

14. If you keep a goldfish in a dark room it will become white.

15. "Single as a Pringle" is not an accurate way to describe your love life because there are many pringles in a can.

16. There are about 50,000 spiders per acre of live vegetation.
