Here's to wanting to catch 'em all, and to realizing that that's impossible to do.

Regardless of whether you've played every version of Poké mon to have ever been released or have stuck with your ride or die game (I've always been partial to Sapphire), you've probably felt these emotions at some point in your gameplay.

1. Stress from picking your starter Pokémon

No big deal, this is just the Pokémon you carry with you for the entirety of the game; the one who's with you through everything and has to defeat all of your opponents. No pressure.

2. Resentment towards your "rival"

Ever since the very start of the game, you had no choice but to constantly battle him/her and be angry at him/her, but every time he/she popped up on the screen you were automatically annoyed.

3. Anger from how slow you walked before you received Running Shoes...

You know that you're going to be able to move faster soon, but since you can't, getting everywhere seems to take even longer than it should.

4. Relief from finally receiving your running shoes.

Ah yes, now I can finally move at a reasonable speed!

5. ...and the embarrassment when you're running and you overshot a building by accident so you just completely ran by the door.

Even though you were the only person to see it happen, it did happen and that's all you can remember.

6. Annoyance from when wild Pokemon jump out at you in tall grass

Oh boy, another Zigzagoon... Awesome...

7. The even higher levels of annoyance when the wild Pokemon won't let you run away

I'm just trying to get to Rustboro City, I didn't ask for this.

8. The anger of running into that bug catcher with six wurmple and you have to defeat all of them.

I really don't have the time or patience for this.

9. The anxiety of watching to see if your Poké ball worked...

Alright... got through one Poké ball shake... just two more...

10. ...and the residual anger from when it didn't work.

You mean I wasted a poké ball on that?

11. ...or the residual happiness from when it did work.

Oh yeah this taillow is mine now.

12. The feeling of success when one of your Pokemon can learn Swim or Fly.

Hahaha yes! I can fly now! Take that Running Shoes!

13. Pride from watching your Pokémon evolve

*sniff* *sniff* I remember when you were a level 5 Squirtle...

14. The hope from when you're doing well during a really important battle...

Wow! Maybe I'll actually beat them this time!

15. ...and then there's that lapse in time when nothing happens on the screen and you have a sudden realization...

Oh no... please don't tell me...

16. ...that they're going to use a Super Potion. Then they do, and you don't know what to feel.

You're tired. You're angry. You've worked so hard only to take so many steps back. You find yourself laughing at the complete disbelief that this is really happening. It's okay, you didn't want to win that battle anyway.

Although Pokémon is able to cause so much anger, we all love the happiness of experiencing a whole different world with our little buddies by our side.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…
