15 Ways 'The Parent Trap' Describes Life At Miami

Oxford, Ohio is a special place on the map. Home to Miami University, the four years you spend on this brick campus surrounded by cornfields are some of the best and most iconic years of your life. Nothing could capture these essential and memorable years like another iconic experience: "The Parent Trap." Premiering in 1998, the film became an instant classic to millennials and made Lindsay Lohan a star. While nothing could truly capture the unforgettable experience that is Miami, "The Parent Trap" comes close to representing the essence of love, honor and the great moments that make up our small town of Oxford.

1. Trying to convince your friend to pick you up on Western Campus:

2. When you reflect on all of the Will's Pizza you ate last night:

3. How you feel on freshman move-in day:

4. Telling your high school friends about the Miami student body:

5. When a girl cuts you in line at Brick Street:

6. Trying to make it to Beat, Broken and going out that night:

7. When your friends try to get you to go out on a Tuesday night:

8. Finding out that you are a twin in your sorority:

9. When you tell your parents why you haven’t found your Miami Merger yet:

10. When your friend gives you a ride to class and you don't have to walk:

11. When your professor tells you there is an exam on GBD:

11. When you and your BFF are done with class for the week:

12. Coming back to school Senior year and feeling unstoppable:

13. When you realize that college doesn't last forever and you have to find a real job soon:

15. Realizing that the friends you make at Miami will be your friends for life:

Although you will most likely not find your long-lost twin at Miami, what you will find instead are your best friends, your future career and, most importantly, yourself. Like Nick and Elizabeth in “The Parent Trap,” no matter how far we away we go when we leave this school, it will always hold a place in our hearts. So here’s to you, Oxford and Miami; you are and always will be the Annie to my Halle and the Peanut Butter to my Oreo.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
