Thanksgiving is quickly approaching, serving as a small reminder to be thankful for everything and everyone that we've been blessed with. As you celebrate the kick-off of the holiday season, don't forget to thank God for these unordinary moments you may forget about.

1. Embracing a long distance friend.

When you haven't seen your best friend in several weeks, your time with them is so much more meaningful. Hugs are just a way of expressing that sweet reunion.

2. That movie that always makes you laugh.

You know, that one movie that always gets you rolling on the floor? Yeah, that one.

3. When someone sees your hands full and holds open the door for you.

Or when people hold open the door for you any time. Either way, it's a kind gesture that shouldn't be overlooked.

4. That first bite into a Chick-fil-A sandwich.

You know the feeling: that juicy bite of sweet chicken with that smooth texture of the bread, topped with Chick-Fil-A sauce is incredible.

5. That moment when your food arrives at the restaurant.

Now everyone has to agree, this is by far a phenomenal moment to be thankful for. The suspense has built up way too long and you're ready to calm down your tastebuds.

6. When your favorite song comes on in the car.

Admit it, you’ve totally flailed your arms when your jam comes through the speakers. It’s like destiny is on your side.

7. When you don't have to set an alarm the next morning.

A few more hours of sleep?? Holla up in here!

8. When a stranger exchanges a smile with you.

That moment when you lock eyes with someone you've literally never seen before, but for some reason you smile and they smile back.

9. That moment you realize it's the weekend.

TGIF!! You've been waiting all week for this moment!

10. Catching something that someone throws at you.

Whether it's that t-shirt at the game, or just some trash someone needs thrown away, it's a fantastic feeling.

11. Finding a dollar bill in your pocket.

You know what they say: a penny saved is a penny earned. It's even better when you realize it's a $20 bill.

12. Waking up feeling refreshed and well-rested.

Isn't this the greatest feeling? You're energized and ready to take on the day. And maybe you don't even need coffee!

13. The belly-drop feeling on the first drop of the roller coaster.

Your insides shoot up and you may start screaming, but it's totally worth it.

14. Hitting every green light on your commute.

What an efficient use of time! And they all wonder why you're early...

15. The feeling of accomplishment when you've completed a big project.

Whether you've worked on something for hours, days, weeks, or months, the feeling of accomplishment is overwhelming-and so is the urge to celebrate.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
