We all know the type: the typical SoCal girl, walking down the street in yoga pants and Uggs, holding a pumpkin spice latte. We make jokes about how basic girls can be, but as a typical SoCal girl myself, some of these stereotypes really ring true.
1. Yoga pants/Lululemon leggings.
We all know you've never actually set foot into a yoga studio. You're fooling NO ONE.
2. Uggs -- even in summer.
It's never actually cold enough in southern California to wear Uggs, so we know you're not wearing them for warmth.
3. Pumpkin spice lattes.
What is it about PSL's that make them so dang delicious?
4. Pumpkin spice everything.
Because sometimes just your coffee isn't enough.
5. Wearing scarves in "winter."
It typically barely drops below 70 degrees here, even in December. That's certainly not scarf-wearing weather.
6. California rolls.
FAKE CRAB -- you are fooling no one. You're barely seven sushi.
7. Selfie sticks.
Your arms are probably a fine length to take a photo of yourself. Or, you could just ask someone else to like normal people do.
8. Selfies, in general.
There is a certain time and place for a selfie, and just casually eating/drinking/hanging out alone really don't fall into that category.
9. Subtweeting.
The Queen of subtweeting, Katy Perry, isn't fooling anyone when she all but mentions Taylor Swift in her tweets. We all know who you're really talking to, girl.
10. Facebook fighting.
Like subtweeting, this gets old really quickly, because it's on such a public forum. Why not just privately message each other, or take it out into the alley way for a duel like in the old days?
11. Havaianas in the winter.
You wear Uggs in the summer and flip flops in the winter? Make up your mind, Cali girls!
12. Boots and shorts, no matter the weather.
One of these things is not like the others.
13. Sweaters and shorts, no matter the weather.
Aren't you too warm? Or too cold? Why would you do this to yourself?
14. Hanging out with each other, on your phones the entire time.
I could have stayed home for this.
15. Brunch.
Brunch is amazing, so I really can't dig on this one. I live for Sunday morning mimosas.
