In the great words of Beyonce Knowles-Carter, "If I were a boy... I think I could understand how it feels to love a girl. I swear I’d be a better man." This hits hard for a lot of women out there because we have all been treated poorly by the opposite sex at some point in our lives, especially with what has been happening in the news regarding the Women's March and women's rights all around the globe. There are a lot of conversations that have just begun, or have been going on for far too long. Newer media has been having a greatly appreciated uptick in advocating, and starting conversations regarding everyday women's trauma dealing with shitty men.
In a recent class discussion about women's representation in media, a much-needed discourse was created enlightening the men in the room about big issues like unequal pay still being a thing, as well as the smaller things like being followed by strangers, or not receiving an introductory handshake given out to the rest of the males in the room. It is known that a majority of sexism can stem from ignorance and systematic oppression. Whenever I observe even the smallest of sexist garbage being produced by a man, I try my best to educate him on what a huge piece of flaming trash wannabe he is presenting himself as. I am never going to apologize or try to be nice when informing a man of his terrible choices to intimidate and humiliate a species much superior to his own just because he is scared of what he doesn't understand.
Here are some fire tweets to lighten the patriarchal oppression that women are doing their absolutely most to overthrow, as well as doing the best they can at being amazing human beings.

If I were a boy... I would just leave women to whatever graceful, intelligent, amazing thing they are off to accomplish. You go, girls! I admire each and every one of you!
