But We Kept Watching Anyways

15 Times One Tree Hill Made Our Hearts Stop

I may have been one of the last people in my friend group to start the Netflix series One Tree Hill, but I don't regret any of the moments I stayed up just a little too late to watch just one more episode. So here are a couple of moments we shared with the characters and our hearts broke just a little bit more.. but we just couldn't stop watching.

1. The whole entire shooting episode.

From when the first shot was fired to when Dan killed Keith, I know all of us OTH fans were sitting on the edge of our seats holding our breaths.

2. When Karen found out that she was pregnant.

We were all rooting for Kieth and Karen but now Keith is gone and Karen is carrying his baby.

3. When Haley kissed Chris Keller and THEN went on tour with him and Nathan was heart broken.

We hated Chris Keller for talking in third person and for playing with Haley's feelings but we also kind of liked him.

4. When the opening scene of season 5 appears and Nathan is bearded and in a wheelchair.

This had to of been OTH's bigges 'WTF' moment.

5. When psycho Nanny Carrie kidnapped Jamie.

From the moment that she started to flirt with Nathan I knew she was no good.

6. When Brooke got attacked in her own store.

I truly thought this was the work of her mother. I mean she was Queen of Evil and she wanted to take over the store so bad. It had Mama Davis written all over it. But I'm kind of glad it wasn't her, I ended up loving her towards the end.

7. When the same guy to attacked Brooke also shot Quentin Fields.

He just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. RIP Quentin.

8. When Peyton started bleeding after the wedding

I think I cried during this whole episode.

9. When Katie shot both Clay and Quinn

And when they woke up in the morning we were all convinced it was all just a dream until they both started to bleed. And Haley walked in on the scene and they both happened to still be alive. So we waited about 3 episodes for Clay to wake up.

10. When Brooke and Jamie get trapped in the car and we all thought Brooke was going to die.

Brooke was not allowed to die in that scene. Not after everything she had gone through in her life.

11. When Haley's mom passes away.

All of the bad things happen to the best people!

12. When Julian was go excited to have a client that he forgot his child in the car.

This episode broke my heart. He was such a good dad and I'm still confused how that happened.

13. When Nathan was kidnapped.

But also, what was the mafia doing in Tree Hill, North Carolina?

14. When Keith forgave Dan and came to take him from earth.

After all of the terrible things that happened between the two, Keith comes for Dan and forgives him. That's what big brothers are for right?

15. And finally, the ending scene.

They totally could have made one more season. So many questions were left unanswered. When did Millie get pregnant? What does Jamie grow up to look like? Do Clay and Quinn end up having a child of their own? Is Skillz finally back with Bevin? These are important questions.

But like all great things it had to come to an end. It was a show that connects with its audience and although it was a roller coaster of ups and downs it was everything that makes a T.V show great. Thank you Mark Schwann and all of the actors and actresses for making it the show that people still watch 4 years after its season finale.

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.

8tracks radio

We all scroll through the radio stations in the car every once in a while, whether its because we lost signal to our favorite one or we are just bored with the same ol' songs every day. You know when you're going through and you hear a song where you're just like "I forgot this existed!" and before you know it, you're singing every word? Yeah, me too. Like, 95% of the time. If you're like me and LOVE some good throwback music, here's a list of songs from every genre that have gotten lost in time, but never truly forgotten.

beer on the beach

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer. And if you haven't already guessed, it's beer. There are few things I take more seriously than my beer, in order are: sports... and beer. Here are my favorite summer brews:
