15 Times When "Grey's Anatomy" Quotes Apply To Your College Life
Grey's Anatomy

Every college student has struggles everyday. These are some times when I found my current life 100% in agreement with "Grey's Anatomy" sayings:

1. When that evil professor tries to be funny or make a joke.

We all know that one teacher who thinks they're really funny, but isn't; they're just awkward. Just stop trying, Jim, just stop.

2. Pretty much every morning of school.

Especially when you get to college, an organized sleep schedule becomes nonexistent. Work, class and more has you up and down at very strange and annoying times of the days.

3. When you thought you did really good on that test, but then you get your grade back.

We've all been there. You thought you nailed it, but your teacher was probably laughing as he graded your test.

4. When you have a mental breakdown over nothing.

Life is hard, okay? Crying for no reason every once in awhile or breaking down because you're stressed is totally acceptable.

5. When your friends invite you over for the night to hangout.

Food is always on everyone's mind; don't lie. If your friend thinks you're gonna have a fun game or movie night without any popcorn or ice cream, they've gone crazy.

6. That feeling when no matter how hard you study or try in a class, you still don't understand it.

Is that one class actually sent down from hell to you personally? Probably. You'll get through it; don't worry.

7. Those people who walk extremely slow in front of you.

Maybe you're just a speed walker or every time you have to be somewhere, someone decides it's a great day to walk .001 miles per hour. Either way, you're still about to hit someone.

8. When you finally find a friend in class that you click with.

After being lonely in a big class, you finally decide to talk to the friendly person next to you and realize they're actually pretty cool.

9. When your professor says attendance counts for more than 5% of your grade.

Wait, you actually expect me to go to class? Like every week?

10. When guys walk around the gym like they're superman with their chest puffed out.

You're not fooling anyone, and you look kind of stupid. Actually, you look very stupid. But it's okay, guys, keep doing what you're doing, maybe it'll work for some girl. But probably not.

11. That feeling when your professor talks before class starts or after it ends.

Ummm, hello? Class starts in two minutes, and that means i still have two interrupted minutes to listen to my music! And when class ends, I'm so out of here, so please stop talking.

12. Recuperating from a weekend of drinking.

Sometimes all you've got is your camera roll or your friends to reiterate the story of the night before. Hopefully you didn't actually lose anything.

13. When you run out of groceries and money because you're a broke college student.

Nobody knows the struggle until you become a broke college student, look in your fridge and only see grape jelly and a tub of butter. Yeah, you're toast. Looks like you'll have to resort to microwave mac and cheese until your next paycheck comes.

14. When you consistently find yourself watching Netflix or on Twitter when you're supposed to be doing homework.

Okay, I was literally just on my computer typing two minutes ago, how did I even end up on Twitter? You might actually have to turn your phone and TV off when you have to get something done if you get distracted easily.

15. When you just can't handle people some days.

Being a student already gives you enough stress. Some days you have absolutely no tolerance for anything or anyone else. Just walk away.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

Does anybody know how to study

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
