Finals week: a time of darkness, despair, and pure insanity. As we all bid a sorrowful farewell to our social lives, we seem to go through several stages of extreme ups and downs…but somehow we always make it to the other side. And while no one seems to understand how unstable we are during this time, Dory seems to do a pretty good job of explaining it:
1. Realizing that the quarter has somehow already come and gone and wishing you could go back to a time with fewer obligations:
2. Counting the small number of days you have until you’re done and thinking that finals might not be so bad after all…
3. …then looking at all the material you’re expected to learn in those short number of days.
4. Buckling down and pretending like you’re starting
to understand the material:
5. And developing a strangely close relationship with your textbooks, notebooks, and binders:
6. But still getting distracted by the smallest things:
7. Taking a study break to hang out with friends and finding them living in the library, not looking for any company:
8. Trying to cheer them up by offering advice, even though you’re the one that really needs it at this point:
9. Getting strangely defensive when they ask you how studying for your finals is going:
10. And coming up with excuses for why you’re having such a hard time studying:
11. Taking one last breath of air and diving back into your studies:
12. Walking to your finals and trying to calm yourself down by doing some weird deep breathing exercises:
13. Waiting for the tests to be handed out and praying that you don’t space out as soon as it lands on your desk:
14. Leaving the classroom after turning in your last final:
15. And finally being able to acknowledge the glorious time off that is Christmas Break:
