If you’re as much of a Disney fanatic as I am, you might find yourself listening to Disney Pandora stations on a regular basis and you might be caught singing your favorite Disney tunes in the shower. Often times I’ll even walk around campus jamming out to “Zero to Hero” or “Mine Mine Mine”. But it’s not enough to just jam out to your favorite Disney hits; relating them to real-life situations gives you an actual purpose to jam out, right? I’ve narrowed down my list of favorite Disney songs to 15 that can totally be relatable to daily life.

1. "Circle of Life" – The Lion King

What better way to wake up in the morning than to “Nants ingonyama bagithi Baba” and the imaginary African sunrise?

2. "I'll Make A Man Out of You" – Mulan

When you know you need to work out but you just don’t feel like it, this is the song to listen to for motivation.

3. "Belle" – Beauty and the Beast

“There must be more than this provincial life!” I hear you, Belle. I know your struggle.

4. "Colors of The Wind" – Pocahontas

This song teaches you the life lesson that we’re not all the same and that you might learn a few things by looking at something from someone else’s perspective.

5. "Under the Sea" - The Little Mermaid

“The human world-it’s a mess!” You’re telling me, Sebastian. I mean just look at the Kardashians.

6. "A Guy Like You" – The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Just like Quasimoto, sometimes your friends need a good pep talk. Go talk to that girl, man, you got this.

7. "You’ve Got a Friend in Me" – Toy Story

The song version of “I got you, fam.”

9. "You'll Be In My Heart" – Tarzan

Leaving someone you love is hard, but they’ll always be in your heart.

9. "Hakuna Matata" – The Lion King

If you’re feeling stressed, this song comes in handy. Four essays? Hakuna Matata. 16-hour workday? Hakuna Matata. Your mom keeps nagging you about your messy room? Hakuna Matata. It’s as easy as that.

10. "For the First Time in Forever" – Frozen

I too have found myself questioning if I was “elated or gassy”; thankfully most of the time I was just really excited.

11. "Go the Distance" – Hercules

Feeling scared because you’re unsure of what you’re doing with your life? This song will lift your spirits when they are at their all time low.

12. "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" – Mary Poppins

I feel like this whenever I’ve had a few energy drinks. Also if you say this word loud enough you’ll always sound precocious and who doesn’t want that?

13. "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride" – Lilo and Stitch

The ultimate “sitting on the beach” summertime song.

14. "Once Upon A Dream" – Sleeping Beauty

Basically this is the same thing as seeing some beautiful, random stranger on the street, deeming them your significant other and then continuing to plan your imaginary wedding on Pinterest.

15. "Let It Go" – Frozen

Any time the words “let it go” are said I immediately burst into song; it just seems like the right thing to do.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
