Need a new party (or just hanging out) playlist to take a break from your current one? Why not jam out to some of your favorite hits of the 2000s to take you back to the time of denim skirts and crimped hair?
I've compiled a list of some of my favorite throwback tunes for any party, car ride, or any occasion.
1. "Low" by Flo Rida.
If you wore Apple Bottom jeans and Uggs together, you were basically my idol.
2. "Temperature" by Sean Paul.
This song brings back memories of the strictly enforced 12-inch rule at middle school dances.
3. "1985" by Bowling for Soup.
A throwback song about throwbacks... Perfect!
4. "Everybody" by the Backstreet Boys.
Just make sure you get your "Ooh! Ooh!" on point.
5. "Dirrty" by Christina Aguilera.
6. "I'm a Slave 4 U" by Britney Spears.
One of the unsung heroes of Britney's discography.
7. "Sk8r Boi" by Avril Lavigne.
Gotta love old Avril.
8. "Stacy's Mom" by Fountains of Wayne.
Adult goals: be Stacy's mom.
9. "Lady Marmalade" by Christina Aguilera, Lil Kim, Pink & Mya.
We all sang along to it when we were too young to know what we were singing about.
10. "Cry Me a River" by Justin Timberlake.
"Justified" might be the best album of all time.
11. "I Want Candy" by Aaron Carter.
That "Lizzie McGuire" episode was everything!
12. "Survivor" by Destiny's Child.
Some classic Beyonce for when "Drunk in Love" and "Partition" get old (if that's even possible).
13. "Yeah!" by Usher, Lil Jon & Ludacris.
It's one of the easiest songs to sing along to if you don't know all the lyrics.
14. "Hey Ya!" by OutKast.
"What's cooler than being cool? ICE COLD!"
15. "My Humps" by the Black Eyed Peas.
The girl jam of 2005.
